This is a spare part to suit a range of Victron inverters and inverter charges that have a dedicated temp sensing input. These units are normally supplied with the new units if you have lost or damaged one, these are ideal replacements.

The Victron temperature sensor connects directly to either pole of the battery and monitors the temperature of the battery bank. The temperature measurement is then used to adjust battery capacity to temperature (which is extremely important to prolong battery life)

The available battery capacity decreases with temperature, the inverter will also vary the charge current based on temperature.
